Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a child she attended at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma always had the desire to become a professional actor from the age of at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school with part-time courses. Her performances had been in numerous Stagecoach or school shows by the time she turned ten. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman announced to Emma that, after auditioning for eight times they and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. This film was 2001's highest earning film, smashing records during the opening day as well as the first weekend. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film and the performance of the three principal young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in a Feature Film.
