Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was passionate about music. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves opera and tangos, as well as any dramatic performance. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense training in singing. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After relocating in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in the southern part of California. She is currently performing the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local organizations, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion for art and music. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
